COVID-19 has brought unexpected challenges for us all. Here at Bluemound Animal Hospital we are working hard to make sure each of our patients are seen in a manner which is safe for both our clients and our staff. To ensure everyone's safety during these difficult times we have implemented additional sanitization protocols for our exam rooms and front desk after each person comes inside. We are also limiting the lobby and exam rooms to one person at a time, and encouraging curbside for nail trims, along with food and medication pick-ups. Hand sanitizer is available for our clients throughout the lobby and exam rooms as well. 

These unusual times have created a substantial increase in demand for veterinary services, not just at Bluemound Animal Hospital, but across the country. Please be patient with us as heavy call volume has created longer wait times for those on hold, and occasional instances of calls not coming through. If you receive a busy signal, please try again after a few minutes. We are working hard to help our clients quickly, but to also afford them the time and care they deserve. If you are on hold please do not hang up and call back as you will lose your spot in the queue. 

We do ask for your help ensuring everyone has a safe visit to Bluemound Animal Hospital, and have implemented the following policies:

  • Please call 262-782-5805 from your vehicle when you arrive, whether you are here for an appointment or a pick-up. If you are placed on hold a member of our team will be with you as soon as they can.
  • If you are here to check in for an appointment you will be placed on hold while we confirm that there is a clean room available, and that no other clients are in the lobby or on their way in. Please be patient as it may take a few minutes to finish sanitizing an exam room.
  • Please do not bring extra people to the exam as we are limiting visits to 1 person at a time with the patient.  
    • If you are bringing multiple pets together you may choose to bring them in at the same time, or swap with somebody after each pet is seen. 
      • Exceptions will be made for young children and end of life appointments. Please let our staff know if an exception is needed so we can prepare a large room.

  • If you are here for a scheduled nail trim appointment, or to purchase food or medication, we would prefer to complete your transaction curbside. Please call 262-782-5805 so we can take your payment over the phone. We will then come get your pet from the car, or bring your order to you.
  • If you would like to have your pet's exam done curbside for your safety please let us know, we will be happy to complete your check-in over the phone and retrieve your pet from the car.
